LPD series of static mixer don’t have any moving parts, it is a tandem-compound mixer with special effect. It can easily be installed in a new or existing pipeline with low cost of installation and operation. And it seems that it has infinite vitality, as such mixers don’t have moving parts, so it cannot easily be worn and used，don't need maintenance. Its patented design provides a very proper and LDO results for the mixture of solid or a gas. And LDO LPD series of static mixer is not limited by the viscosity in fact.
Mixing Principle
LPD series of static mixer is composed by a series of semi-oval blades installed in the hollow pipe, and one unit includes two vertical blades (Figure 1). The mixing process is also a fission process, the result is to divided the laminar flow into several streams, so the number of interfaces is calculated according to the formula L = N (2) 8 (L stands for the number of interfaces, E stands for a unit number, N stands for the original number of streams.) In the turbulent process, the unit can improve each stream’s scattering degree, so the LPD series of static mixer with six unites can fully meet the requirements of most low viscosity mixture.
Construstion
The diameter for LPD series of static mixer’s standard tube is from 25.4mm ~ 762mm, which can be installed with 2-36 units. But in any case, the size for the blender is not limited (the diameter can be up to 1526mm), it can be made of 316 stainless steel, carbon steel or other materials. The end of the blender can be smooth or bolted. You can also use flange connections with cold and hot jacket.
